Chris works primarily with owners of small businesses and flow-through entities in a variety of operational consultations, tax planning, and tax compliance engagements. Chris’ main focus is business taxation for s-corporation and partnership entities, and complex individual returns.
Chris began his career in public accounting with the firm’s predecessor, Stivers & Associates, PSC, in January of 2006. Chris became a partner at Besten & Dieruf, PLLC in January of 2013. In addition to his tax practice, Chris has worked on numerous civil litigation cases involving fraud and forensic accounting.
Chris has been a dedicated member of the Board of Ashland Terrace since 2016, contributing to its mission of providing independent living for retired residents. Established in 1849, Ashland Terrace is a privately run foundation that has operated continuously for over a century, offering a welcoming home for 30–40 ladies at any given time.
In addition, Chris has served as Treasurer of the Chevy Chase Neighborhood Association since 2015. As a steward of one of Lexington’s most historic and cherished communities, he plays a key role in preserving and enhancing the neighborhood’s character and vitality.
